Recalls, Recalls, Recalls

Is it just me, or does it seem like millions of cars are being recalled. The act of Recalling isn't new but looking at the wires at the radio station I'm working at it seems like it's one after the other.

Just last week Mazda recalled the fuel system ventilation on their 6 because a customer reported a spider that had managed to get in and spin a web. The Result? Headlines like "Spider Webs Could Make Your Car Explode!" And PETA asking arachnophobes who own the cars to donate them to the organization.

And yesterday there were three more reports including Honda, Toyota and Chrysler. And I'm not sure how to react. Still I'd suggest if your car is among the many included you take it in to have it looked at.

All this has me wondering if this has become a trend, like Charlie Sheen's antics. I don't recall cars being recalled so much in the past. Still in many ways we should be happy that they are doing it, even though it means we'll have to head back to the dealership.
